That's because AluminArte is the first of its kind - anywhere. Similar to the Internet or High Definition television, some innovations are so big there are not categories for them. They become their own category.

That's what's happening with AluminArte. And sure, we could tell you about the thousands of experiments we fielded with our state of the art Scandinavian printing behemoth that enabled us to do something so extraordinary, that we couldn't stop smiling. And we'd be happy to explain the technical details of the AluminArte process, which uses our proprietary coatings on a wide variety of substrates, yielding unparalleled definition on satin and high gloss finishes. (That's because the images are directly fused into the coating, not just on the surface.)

A "shortcut" way to see the difference is to take a look at the insets we have here. In the first, you have a dot matrix type of coverage, which is what we would equate to the old process of printing that you're used to. The second shows the full coverage in the AluminArte process.

These are just illustrations, of course, because they don't capture the full depth of color and the look achieved by imaging the colors into the coating, not just the surface of the substrate.
